No Puppy Mill Promise
At Puppyzona, we are a community of dog lovers, committed to connecting responsible breeders of all sizes with caring individuals and families in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Dallas, and across the U.S. We hold ourselves and our clients to the highest standards and aim to improve the life of each puppy, breeder and owner who joins our family. Puppyzona has a zero tolerance policy for puppy mills or substandard breeding practices of any kind. While you may not know the source of your puppy from a rescue, shelter or pet store, you will always know where your Puppyzona puppy was born and raised. Puppyzona puppies are raised with love, respect and a high level of attention and personal care.
The Definition of a Puppy Mill
A Puppy Mill is a substandard source for puppies that places profit above the welfare of its animals. A Puppy Mill is not only inhumane and cruel, but also typically operates in violation of the law or government regulations.
Puppyzona Promises Its Breeders Are NOT Puppy Mills
Buy confidently from Puppyzona knowing:
- USDA Licensed – Not only is Puppyzona licensed by the USDA (cert. # 58-B-0618), but we require every one of our breeders to be either licensed, or exempt from licensing by the USDA.
- Proprietary Screening – Above and beyond USDA requirements, Puppyzona mandates a comprehensive, proprietary screening process that all breeders must pass. For that very reason, we accept fewer than 10% of all potential breeder applicants.
- Regular Check-ins – Puppyzona stays in regular contact with our breeders, monitoring the health of every single puppy throughout the process, culminating with a comprehensive nose-to-tail medical examination by a licensed veterinarian prior to the puppy traveling. We work diligently with the goal of placing healthy puppies into happy homes. To that end, Puppyzona offers a health guarantee with every single puppy we place. We also stay in touch with our customers after the puppy arrives home to make sure the transition goes well.
